Summary

OrganicSEO.org collects the minimum data required to run this website and its newsletter. We do not sell or share personal information. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking networks. The essentials:

  • A cookie banner asks your consent before any non-essential tracking fires.
  • Newsletter signups are opt-in and used only for the newsletter itself.
  • Contact and “Write for Us” form submissions go to the editors and nowhere else.
  • You can unsubscribe or request deletion at any time via the contact form.

Information we collect

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard web-server logs that may include IP addresses, user-agent strings, referring URLs, and timestamps. These are used for security monitoring and error diagnosis, and are rotated routinely. We do not cross-reference them with any other dataset.

Cookies and consent

We use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies (remembering whether you’ve already dismissed the cookie banner or seen the newsletter modal). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. The consent banner lets you accept or decline non-essential usage. Declining keeps you out of any analytics or marketing widgets; it does not affect content access.

Newsletter

If you submit your email to the newsletter form, we store your address and the date you signed up. We use it to send periodic editorial updates about new posts and nothing else. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe. You can also request deletion via the contact form at any time — we honour requests within 14 days.

Contact and Write-for-Us forms

When you submit a contact or pitch form, we receive the name, email, and message you entered. We use it to reply to you and, where relevant, to route your pitch to the editorial desk. We do not add form submitters to the newsletter or to any third-party list.

How we use information

Any information collected is used solely for website operation, security monitoring, reader correspondence, and sending the newsletter if you opted in. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

Third parties

The site is served through Cloudflare (DNS + CDN), hosted on Railway (application hosting), and uses R2 by Cloudflare for images. These providers process technical data (such as the IP address of a request) under their own standard privacy terms. The newsletter system is run on our own infrastructure; we do not send your email to Mailchimp, Substack, or similar third-party ESPs.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, the CCPA, or similar legislation — including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email us through the contact form. We respond within 14 days.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our data-handling practices change. Substantive changes will be announced in the newsletter.
